Project Overview
National Grid in Maspeth required additional locker room and office space for its team of welders, but faced significant space limitations on site. With little available ground area, the company needed to build upward rather than outward.
The two-story iBox complex serves as both locker room and office space, combining functionality and comfort in a compact layout. Each unit was built to withstand daily industrial use while maintaining a professional and efficient workspace.

Challenge
National Grid’s Maspeth site offered a minimal area for expansion, leaving little room for traditional single-level structures. The project required a design that could safely and effectively utilize vertical square footage while providing separate zones for locker rooms, offices, and utility spaces.

The stacked modular design provided the required square footage within the existing footprint while maintaining accessibility and safety.
